Our 2025 Com-Link Awards Night was held on Thursday, June 26th at the Bowers Museum.
This year we celebrated the 37th Annual Most Beautiful Yard program with awards going to sixteen neighborhoods! Each winner received their Most Beautiful Yard sign to display in their front yard for the next year.
Nineteen Neighborhood Hero Winners were also honored at our Awards Night. Each of the Heroes were nominated by their neighbors because they demonstrated their leadership, commitment, generosity, and the selflessness needed to enhance their neighborhood and the greater Santa Ana community.
Former City Manager David Ream was awarded the William Edward Branch III Humanitarian Award, which was presented to his family by former Mayor Miguel Pulido.
All our awardees received a set and Certificates of Recognition by the City, County Supervisor Vicente Sarmiento, State Senator Tom Umberg, State Assembly Member Avelino Valencia and Congressman Lou Correa.
This year we had a Passing of the Gavel with our President Carl Benninger retiring from the Com-Link Board, after eighteen years of service. He received a plaque honoring his service, as well as a cowboy hat and belt buckle from Hawk Scott, Director of Parks & Recreation while the crowd joined in singing Deep in the Heart of Texas – a nod to Carl having lost a bet on the Michigan versus Texas football game last fall.
It was a fabulous night, and we are already planning for the 2026 Awards Night!
